I am an experienced Creative Technologist who creates compelling experiences and finds new possibilities in recently possible technologies. I design, write, prototype, and teach - often my work offers an alternative to the everyday.

I hold a PhD in Design from Goldsmiths, University of London, an MA in Design Interactions from the Royal College of Art, and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham.

I maintain a private design practice and my clients have included ITO World, Aldeburgh Music, Studio XO, Hirsch and Mann, Native Design, The Fitzwilliam Museum, Di Mainstone, Zoe Garner Glass and Design Informatics. New propositions should be addressed to:

I was previously a Senior Researcher at BT's Broadband Applications Research Centre and a Visiting Researcher at the MIT Media Lab. I have taught at the Royal College of Art, University College London, and Newcastle University.

I have published over fifty peer-reviewed papers in design research and HCI. Check out the Labs for my latest prototypes and experiments.

I cofounded the Curiosity Collective (2005-2015) and I convened dorkbot anglia (2010-2015).
